Luke likes JT (Jonathan Tavernari) and James Anderson - mainly because he was Tommy's mission companion in Guatemala.

I like to Snoeshow
Don't these boys have cool parents? Ann Dee is into trying to get her kids out in nature as much as possible cause she read this book about Nature Deficit Disorder.

Sundance Film #4 - Brief Interviews with Hideous Men
Brief Interviews with Hideous Men
This movie was based on a book by David Foster Wallace. John Krasinski (Jim from the Office) wrote the screen play, directed it, and was in it. We went to the last screening so there was no Q&A after. This movie was very different. I'm not sure if I liked it or not. It was heavy and I needed help from my friend to even understand it. I liked the main point although I was a bit disturbed by how they delivered that point. I thought Julianne Nicholson was very pretty and not just because she is a freckled faced red head.

Sundance Film #3 - Motherhood
Motherhood
This was the third movie I saw and it had the biggest stars in it. Uma plays a mother of two who is struggling to get things ready for her daughter's birthday party as well as enter an essay contest about what it means to be a mother. I thought this movie was over the top - almost as unbelieveable as Kill Bill (although I really liked Kill Bill). It had some funny things in it but all in all I didn't like it. I was turned off in the Q&A by the lady who wrote it. She was very eccentric and rude. Uma was politial. Minnie was snotty and Anthony Edwards (I like to call him Goose) was funny guy. It was exciting to watch this movie with the big stars who were actually in it. I obviously was one of the many people in the audience snapping photos - this is the best one I got. Jodie Foster was there too although I didn't get to see her. She had a small cameo in the film.

Sundance Film #2 - Arlen Faber
Arlen Faber
I liked this movie. I didn't love this movie.
I really wanted to see it because it had Lauren Graham (one of my favorite Gilmore Girls) in it. Jeff Daniels was also in it and he was great. This movie made me laugh and it made me cry. It had a good message even though the language was a bit much. Some parts were unbelievable but all in all I was happy to see this one.

Sundance Film #1 - The Winning Season
Why have I not taken advantage of this before? I loved going to film festival this year.
This first movie I saw was The Winning Season with Sam Rockwell.
This was my favorite movie and it wasn't just because this movie was about a girls basketball team. Sam Rockwell did a great job and he was very funny and believable. This movie wasn't cheesy - well not too cheesy. This movie was less about the basketball team and more about how coaching the team helped Bill get a bit of a better grip on his life. In the Q&A after the movie, the director told us how one of the girls cast as a player actually broke her leg skateboarding so he rewrote the part so she could still be in the film. It was exciting as well because it was the first movie for many of these young actresses.
How far should I let this go?
Last year I blogged about my lady cavemen and how they have all these crazy superstitions.
This year they tried to get me to wear this:
I told the girls that I'd wear it for one game (the Lone Peak home game) only if they never asked me to do it again.
Am I being a poor sport? Should I care that I look like an idiot or should I sacrifice style for the team?
