Indoor Triathlon

Liz talked me into this indoor triathlon held at the Elevate triathlon gym in Orem.

It was easier to pace yourself on a bike trainer and treadmill. However, that resistance pool will take some getting used to. I liked the race and it was fun to do it all inside.

Turkey Tri ...

We raised a good chunk of change for Drew ... thank you!

Pre-race dinner and meeting. And of course the unveiling of the t-shirts.
We are "Drew's Divas" and we are "Single and Tri-ing!"

Getting set up before the race ...

The run ... I improved my time in this event!

Me & Dave Angela, Allison, Me

Here is the whole group post race.

Julia and I took Coach Keena's triathlon class for the last two months and all I can say is that if it weren't for her spin class I would have never made it up 400 South twice!!! She is great!

We had lots of supporters from the ward - it was so fun!!!

We are ... 33!!!

Erin & I

And then the best part ...

Hawaiian burger at JCWs with cheese fries of course!!!

By the way ... I improved!!! Check out my times as compared with my first triathlon in August. These two races had the exact same mileage for all three events.

Museum visit

Yesterday these guys came to see me at work. They got to ride in this tractor all the way from their new house.

They got to eat some candy corn and touch some live animals.
This picture is of Van and Cuddles.

BYU Lost & Found

On Monday I lost by 4 GB USB drive that has all of my work on it from my entire graduate program. Yes, I back up my work but not often enough and I hadn't for at least three months. When I realized it was gone Tuesday night, I searched and searched for it with no luck. I decided that I had probably left it at the library. All I could do now was hope that it was turned in. Yesterday morning I called the library and they told me they had about 15 USB drives turned in from the day before that had all been collected on Tuesday (see, I'm not the only one). Mine was not there. They take all lost and found items to the WILK on a daily basis.

So I called BYU lost and found and they had it. It was easy to find because I had a printed label with my name on it.

Relief. I like it when people turn in my lost items - it makes me feel good.

On my way over to pick it up, I had a telephone conversation with Ann Dee. She seemed almost happy that I had lost the drive because it proved that I wasn't as organized as I seem because I do lose things.

Ok - true, I do occasionally lose things but it did have my name clearly labeled on it which made the finding process much easier. In fact, if I hadn't realized I was missing the drive, I would have known about it after receiving this email below (it came to me on Wed afternoon).
