Birthday Bash - YOU'RE INVITED

27 - I spilled Dr. Pepper on my shirt.

Come and join me for 32!

On Saturday, August 9th I will be turning 32 (that is 16 X 2 - yes it is).

I'm planning a big bash and you are invited. Yes all of you - even you who think I don't know you read my blog.

The party will start that night beginning at 6:00 PM at Kiwanis park. Everyone (seriously everyone) is invited. Bring your kids, your parents, your spouse, your cousin but not your dog - they aren't people, remember. Sorry Samantha, Roxy is NOT invited!

Bring your own dinner and drinks. Cake and ice cream will be provided.

There is talk of water balloons, slip and slide, coloring contest and maybe just maybe a live animal from the Bean Museum.

Please no gifts unless you want to make me a CD of your favorite traveling music for my road trip which will follow the next week.

Police Concert

Last night Liz and I saw the Police. I bought this T-shirt.

Sting looked mmmm HOT and they all sounded really good.

These are my feet on my levi blanket that I made when I was a beehive. What did you make when you were a beehive? Or were you even a beehive?

LOR - personal trainer reflection

So every so often one of the BYU students that I supervise at the museum asks for a letter of recommendation. I always reply with the same smart A response: "Of course, I'll write you a letter - I'd lie for you any day."

Well the other day my personal trainer asked for a letter of recommendation. I told him that I would be happy to and I can BS with the best of 'em. I've written about my PT before here and here and here.

So I started thinking about what I would write about my personal trainer - we've been together for over a year now, working out for 30 minutes twice a week. I thought about the progress I've made and how I depend on him.

Then it hit me - why does he need a letter? Is he leaving me? I NEVER thought I'd actually be sad about this!

Bucket List

I remember learning about the phrase "kicking the bucket" when I was little watching this movie with my folks. 2 points for anyone who knows the movie.

Before I die I want to:
  • Complete a triathlon (even if it is a baby one - bring it on babies)
  • Hike to the top of Timp (without any detours - CAMERON)
  • Learn to play the guitar (and sing at the same time)
  • Love to cook
  • Be a mom (including whatever else that means)
  • Drive all over the United States and go on blind dates (in the works)
  • Travel to:
    • London many more times
    • New York City
    • Australia
    • Italy
    • Alaska (not on a cruise)
    • Austria (I want to sing "the hills are alive" like Maria Von Trapp and Clark Griswald)
    • Galapogos Islands
  • Go to the following concerts:
    • Sarah
    • MJ
    • BJ
  • Finish my phd
  • Buy a new car
  • Make a documentary
  • Coach a championship team - come on Lady Cavemen this is our year!
  • 15 minutes of fame
  • Never be called as RSP
  • Attend Wimbeldon
  • Be a member of a live studio audience for Dave or Ellen never Oprah or Jay
  • Golf on my birthday with at least one brother
  • Give back the BYU issue I "borrowed" in 1996
  • Get past "hard" on guitar hero
Any other suggestions? I know I'm forgetting something. I've already been to the Dr. Pepper Museum.
