Sundance Film #3 - Motherhood

Motherhood

This was the third movie I saw and it had the biggest stars in it. Uma plays a mother of two who is struggling to get things ready for her daughter's birthday party as well as enter an essay contest about what it means to be a mother. I thought this movie was over the top - almost as unbelieveable as Kill Bill (although I really liked Kill Bill). It had some funny things in it but all in all I didn't like it. I was turned off in the Q&A by the lady who wrote it. She was very eccentric and rude. Uma was politial. Minnie was snotty and Anthony Edwards (I like to call him Goose) was funny guy. It was exciting to watch this movie with the big stars who were actually in it. I obviously was one of the many people in the audience snapping photos - this is the best one I got. Jodie Foster was there too although I didn't get to see her. She had a small cameo in the film.

Katy, I wish I was enjoying the films with you. Looks like you are having a great time. Goose was my neighbor in NY and has a BIG family. Every time I past him on the street he had at least four kids in tote (and never a nanny in sight) I don't know if I was ever a fan of his before but I am now. I figure a big family guy like that must have a good personality.
