Bird watching with the Bean

I started a blog for the Bean Life Science Museum - I'm their webmaster so its ok. We had a great bird watching activity with Mr. Webb (MW) as part of the Museum's new Nature Experienceship program.

My friends, Stacy and Brent came along and we had fun watching birds. We also had lots of fun taking pictures as you can see.

So did you actually see any birds? The times that I have gone bird watching or whale watching, I have seen nothing. I think it's all a farce. Now people watching--that always proves fruitful.

I would only go bird watching if I knew I was guaranteed to see a bald eagle catch a beaver in its talons and eat it or have a really cool fight or something. Otherwise, boring. I see birds all the time and it's not that big of a deal. In fact, sometimes in the late fall we have thousands of black crows (or something like that, I guess only bird watchers would know their real names) that fly over our house. So that is my bird watching for the year.

That osprey catching the narsty Utah lake fish was pretty dang cool. Dan's eagle would have been pretty sweet, too.
